We know talking about the sun's effect on your skin is yesterday's blog post. Always wear it, never take it off OR YOU WILL DIE, blah blah bla. It's akin to telling a womxn to pee after sex in 2018. We've got it, save your damn breath.
But does that mean we're actually following-through? Not always. We could do better, sure. Does that mean we know everything there is to know about the sun, or what it could do to our bodies? Babe, we guarantee you don't. And why would you? Some myths about the sun are almost as old as the star itself (not even nearly close but you get it).
Even though we know more about skin damage than we ever have, some facts elude the general collective consciousness because reasons (If you're a psych major that can tell us why, hit us up). Fill in those epistemic lacunas with these suncare myths and truths.
